
Freelance Mobile Games Work
Various Titles, iPhone, iPad, Android, (2011-2015)
After graduating from university, I worked as a freelance Game Designer, Artist, and UI Designer. These projects ranged from short self-contained titles to projects which spanned over several years. Due to the smaller nature of these titles, I will combine them into one page, listing the titles and responsibilities with a range of examples.
Due to the age of some of the projects, many are no longer supported on the Apple app store or Google Play. If they are still accessible I will link to their

Blast Monkeys / Blast Monkeys Forever
Physics-based Puzzle Game, iPhone, Android (2011-2015)

Blast Monkeys (and later Blast Monkeys Forever) was popular a physics-based mobile puzzle game developed by studio Yobonja.
Moki the monkey is blasted out a cannon in a direction based on the player's choosing. There are 3 bananas scattered around every level that the player can collect to increase their end-of-level score.
The title was nominated for several game awards and at its peak shared over 11 million downloads across its platforms.
Responsibilities:​​

Designed wireframes & UI designs for the new features as well as updating the existing menu layouts. Collaborating with the designer to ensure newly created assets are consistent with both the existing interfaces and the wireframe documentation.

Tiny Fish Story
Endless Running Game, iPhone, Android (2014)
Tiny Fish Story was an endless runner-style game developed for iPhone and Android devices. The player would have to drag the characters around the player space collecting coins and power-ups while dodging dangerous obstacles found under
the sea.

I was tasked with creating all the art assets featured in the game, this included the UI, animations as well as backgrounds and iconography. All while keeping to a 3-week deadline set by the client.
Responsibilities:​​

Fat Dragon
A Memory-based Puzzle Game, iPhone, Android (2011-2015)

Fat Dragon was a memory-based puzzle game where the player was tasked with leading the dragon around an assault course to collect cupcakes and reach the end of the stage. The game featured memorization of the layout of the obstacles before the player was asked to draw the route for the dragon to follow.
I was asked to create simple stylized backgrounds and UI assets to match the typography selected by the client.
Responsibilities:​​

Collaborated with the client, 3D artist, programmer, and playtesters to create graphics that were in keeping with the existing assets.

Most of the titles featured are casual puzzle titles so the designs reflect that.
